  • Aisha: The fragrant, fully double blooms of this variety produce no pollen, so they remain a pure, icy white colour throughout their lifecycle. Perfect in fresh-cut arrangements, seasonal borders or containers. Will return each year when bulbs are left undisturbed. Grows 30-36″ tall.
  • Editha: Fully double, outward-facing flowers of candy pink are easy to grow in any sunlit space. Try them in back of a summer border or as a cutting garden staple. Fragrant, 6″ blooms will multiply over the years as plants naturalize. Grows 22-24″ tall.
  • Tatsjana: A breathtakingly beautiful, fully double, 6″ lily with dark purplered petals edged in white. Lovers of cut flowers should give Tatsjana’s delightfully perfumed blooms serious consideration for use in their bouquets and arrangements. Grows 30-36″ tall.
  • Anouska: Its white, 6″ double blooms are washed with pink and feature wide pink edges. You’ll have plenty of fragrant flowers to enjoy in clean, pollen-free bouquets. Attracts butterflies to borders, feature beds or container gardens alike. Perennializes well. Grows 28″ tall.
  • Natalia: Lightly scented and pollen free, this variety is great in a midsummer border or cut-flower arrangement. The creamy white double flowers, which measure 6″ across, fade to pink towards their centre. The lemon-yellow throat is marked with black specks. Draws the attention of butterflies. Grows 36″ tall.

Description

Roselilies have their beginnings at a Dutch company now called de Looff Lily Innovation BV. The business, founded by Cornelis de Looff, started in the fruit trade and later turned its focus to flower production. His sons–Tonny, Martin and Johan de Looff–became interested in developing new varieties of lilies and, in 1993, created a breeding program. Within a few years, they were surprised to find an Oriental lily of theirs had spontaneously mutated. Its multilayered petals gave this double-flowering lily the look of a rose, so it was dubbed the roselily.
